A Community Navigator will be available at the Rideau Lakes Public Library this summer. This free service is available to all community members.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
MBSR is a structured program that combines mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, to reduce stress and gain resilience to deal with life’s challenges.
Living Life to the Full
Living Life to the Full is a fun and interactive group course to help individuals feel happier, have more energy, gain confidence, enjoy better relationships, and feel less stressed.
GET W.I.T.H. IT
GET W.I.T.H. IT (Walking in the Halls) is a volunteer-led walking program held twice weekly indoors throughout the winter months.
Senior Fit
A volunteer led fitness program for seniors held twice weekly at the Portland Community Hall.
Youth Leaders
This program helps provide opportunities for Youth Leaders (13 – 18 years old) to volunteer in their communities.
Move It After School Program
A weekly after school program in four area schools for students in grades 3-6.
Childcare Training Program
This two-day course is designed to educate youth 12 or older about babysitting standards.
Home Alone Program
This one-day program is designed to provide children 10 years of age and older with skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.
Early Years – Parent Education and Support
Programs for pregnant women, parents and caregivers of children aged 0-6 years, in partnership with Rideau Lakes Libraries.
Social Prescribing
Social prescribing is a way of referring people to a range of non-clinical services at the Centre and in the community. It complements medical treatments to address people’s needs.
What’s Cooking Community Kitchen
We make nutritious and delicious dishes from around the world, sharing our cooking skills with each other and learning nutrition and food safety tips from our Dietitian.
Craving Change
A how to workshop for changing your relationship with food. Join us in learning more about why you eat the way you do, how to comfort yourself without food and change your thinking to change your eating!
