Senior Fit

This is a volunteer-led fitness program held from October through May at the Portland Legion. This program has two classes - Gentle Senior Fit for those who are sedentary, and Senior Fitness for active seniors. Sally Smith, instructor, is a trained in senior fitness and leads both classes. Instructors receive training through the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging.

How this program works

There is no cost to participate, but class registration is required. Senior Fit classes do not run when buses are cancelled.

Gentle Senior Fit

An easier class for older adults who consider themselves more sedentary or at risk of falls.
