GET W.I.T.H. IT

What this program does

The GET W.I.T.H. IT (Walk in the Halls) progam is a volunteer-led community winter walking program held twice weekly indoors at our local high school. The program runs from November to March, possibly longer as the weather dictates! This provides the chance to walk in a warm, safe, and fun environment during the winter months.

How this program works

The program runs at:

Rideau District High School
Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6 - 8pm

  • This is a free, drop-in program

  • The program is suitable for all ages and fitness levels

  • All hallways in the school will be open for walking

  • Please bring indoor walking shoes and a water bottle

  • The fitness room is available for participant use

  • Climbing the stairs for an extra challenge is optional

  • You are welcome to bring your step count logs or pedometer to track your progress

The program does not run when the buses are cancelled, during the holiday break (December 26th and 28th and January 2nd and 4th), or during March Break (March 12th and 14th)
