GET W.I.T.H. IT

What this program does

The GET W.I.T.H. IT (Walking in the Halls) program is a volunteer-led community winter walking program held twice weekly indoors at our local high school. The program runs from November to March, possibly longer as the weather dictates! This provides the chance to walk in a warm, safe, and fun environment during the winter months.

How this program works

The program runs at:

Rideau District High School
Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6 - 8pm

  • This is a free, drop-in program

  • The program is suitable for all ages and fitness levels

  • All hallways in the school will be open for walking

  • Please bring indoor walking shoes and a water bottle

  • Climbing the stairs for an extra challenge is optional

  • You are welcome to bring your step count logs or pedometer to track your progress

The program does not run when the buses are cancelled, during the holiday break, or during March Break when the school is closed.
