Community Programming
CRCHC runs a wide variety of free, low-cost or subsidized community programming, in keeping with our Model of Health & Wellbeing that includes the social determinants of health and social prescribing.

Adult Fitness
GET W.I.T.H. IT (Walking in the Halls) is a volunteer-led walking program held twice weekly indoors throughout the winter months.
A volunteer led fitness program for seniors held twice weekly at the Portland Community Hall.

Wellness
This is a 12-week group for people who have different kinds of chronic pain, like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic back or neck pain. The goal is to help people learn how to manage their health better.
Participants will learn practical gardening techniques while connecting with nature and improving mental resilience
MBSR is a structured program that combines mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, to reduce stress and gain resilience to deal with life’s challenges.
Living Life to the Full is a fun and interactive group course to help individuals feel happier, have more energy, gain confidence, enjoy better relationships, and feel less stressed.

Nutrition
We make nutritious and delicious dishes from around the world, sharing our cooking skills with each other and learning nutrition and food safety tips from our Dietitian.
A how to workshop for changing your relationship with food. Join us in learning more about why you eat the way you do, how to comfort yourself without food and change your thinking to change your eating!

Children and Families
This two-day course is designed to educate youth 12 or older about babysitting standards.
This one-day program is designed to provide children 10 years of age and older with skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.

Volunteering
The Board of Directors help guide Country Roads Community Health Centre in fulfilling its mandate.
This program recruits, retains, and mentors individuals in a volunteer role to provide support for our community programming.
CCEC member volunteers help shape the planning and delivery of high quality, inclusive services at CRCHC.
This program helps provide opportunities for Youth Leaders (13 – 18 years old) to volunteer in their communities.
