Childcare Training Program

This Canada Safety Council course is designed to educate youth about babysitting standards. Topics of discussion include child development, nutrition, basic first aid and handling emergencies.

The Canada Safety Council Childcare Training Course is designed to provide youth 12 years of age (Or turning 12 within the calendar year) and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when babysitting.

How this program works

A trained facilitator will offer this program at Country Roads Community Health Centre on over two days.

Topics will include: Becoming a successful babysitter, the behaviour and misbehaviour of children, handling emergencies, caring for a sick or injured child, prevention and basic first aid.

Please bring a lunch, snack and water bottle. Spaces can be limited.
