Move It After School Program

What this program does

A weekly after school program in four area schools for students in grades 3-6. The program promotes literacy, skill development, social skills, healthy eating, and an active lifestyle. It runs after school from October to March.

The program provides leadership training and mentoring for youth volunteers. Student volunteers are able to earn volunteer hours towards the hours required for their O.S.S.D.

How this program works

This program is provided at four schools throughout the region:

South Crosby Public School – Runs Tuesdays starting in October to the last week in March (grades 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Rideau Vista Public School – Runs Wednesdays starting in October to the last week in March (grades 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Lombardy Public School – Runs Mondays starting in January to the last week in March (grades 3, 4 & 5)

Sweets Corners Public School – Runs Thursdays starting in October to the last week in March (grades 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Note: The Move It Program will take a break starting the week of December 16th for 4 weeks and will return the week of January 13th.
