Open Access Appointments Model

Appointments are scheduled using an evidence based Advanced Access methodology modified to accommodate the CHC model of care. The goal of Open Access scheduling is to be able to offer every client an appointment on the day they call. If you need to schedule an appointment please call us on the day you want to come in or book your appointment online (insert booking link). Please note that not all of our Primary Care Providers are in the office 5 days a week and therefore you may not see your primary care provider each time you come in.

Missed or Late Appointments

In the spirit of respect for all clients and health service providers of CRCHC, missed or late arrival policies have been implemented to minimize the disruptions caused by late arrivals, and waste of valuable appointment spaces. When a client arrives late it increases the risks of having a visit that fails to address all health matters optimally, and potentially delays subsequently scheduled clients. When a client does not attend their scheduled appointment, this results in a waste of appointment spaces for clients who may need it.

Appointment protocol

We ask that all our clients arrive 15 minutes early for their appointments to allow time to prepare for their appointment.

If you are not able to attend your appointment, please call us to cancel as soon as possible so that we may use that appointment space for someone in need.

If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we will need to reschedule you to another date and time to allow ample time to address your health needs and avoid negatively impacting other clients.
