Be the Change: 12 Week Chronic Pain Empowerment Group

This is a 12-week group for people who have different kinds of chronic pain, like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic back or neck pain. The goal is to help people learn how to manage their health better.

How This Program Works

Each session teaches about different types of pain and focuses on nociplastic pain, which is pain caused by problems in how the brain processes pain. Participants will learn about the connection between the mind and body, and how techniques like mindfulness meditation, somatic tracking, exercise, and action plans can help manage pain.

By the end of the 12 weeks, it is hoped that participants will:
  • Experience improvement in quality of life.
  • Experience a reduction in some or all of their pain symptoms
