Drop-in Community Navigator

A Community Navigator will be available at the Rideau Lakes Public Library this summer. This free service is available to all community members.

Navigators can offer resources, referrals, and support on a wide array of issues from applying for help with utility bills, to replacing lost identification, to helping fill out paperwork, to discussing options in a difficult situation.

A community navigator serves as a guide and advocate for individuals or groups within a community, helping them navigate social services, healthcare systems, educational opportunities, and other resources. They offer support, information, and assistance to address various needs and challenges. Community navigators may help with tasks like accessing healthcare, finding housing, securing employment, or connecting with social support networks.
