Telemedicine

Using videoconferencing you can visit a doctor, specialist, or other health care provider closer to home. A nurse is available to assist you and the provider during the appointment (for example to check your blood pressure). Telemedicine Services can be used for many types of medical visits, saving you time and money.

Some of the types of appointments that can be done by video conferencing are visits with your heart, kidney and cancer specialists, psychiatrists, dietitian, and pre-op assessments. These visits are secure and use Ontario Health Virtual Visit technology.

How Telemedicine works

In partnership with Rideau Community Health Services (RCHS), the Telemedicine program is offered to clients of Country Roads Community Health Centre and community members.

Services are provided at our Westport and Portland offices, as well as Rideau Community Health Services locations in Smiths Falls, Merrickville, and Brockville and other locations across Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark. For a complete list of services and locations please see the Telemedicine Brochure.
